Perceptive take on it. The sad kids stick out like a sore thumb at school. I worked with a lot of sad kids in my job. I like your use of the shadorma form. Never tried it before but may need to.

To me it seems to be about the attraction of opposites…It was hard to pick a favorite of these wonderful pieces but this one was certainly in the running for me.
