Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Word Prompt

Lopsided Memory

“I have quite an exceptional Memory, to the point that I’m a walking mnemonic device,” Sheldn told Myrna.

“Where are your car keys, eyeglasses, and phone?” she wanted to know.

I’ll bet it all started,” she continued, “When your parents forgot to put the ‘O’ into your name.”

The pointless nitpicking continued for hours.

“Have it your way, Mrs. Weisenheimer,” he said.

“I wouldn’t want to be in your shoes, though,” he warned, “If Meredith Vieira wants to know Chester A. Arthur’s middle name, and  you need a phone~a~friend.”

Stray Livestock

“I’ve just found out,” said Lum, “that there was a cow walking on the Major Deegan Expressway in the Bronx.”

“I don’t believe you,” replied Abner.

“I kid you not,” the former insisted.

“Don’t be ridiculous,” his friend replied.  “That’s the last thing anyone would expect. Everyone knows a cow would be smart enough to Drive.”
