Foot Foot and Margaret were talking about their friend Teddy.
‘He always uses the name Theodore’, Foot Foot said, ‘whenever he wants to party with his really offbeat friends and doesn’t want them to see how droll and ordinary he is in real life.’
‘As long as he doesn’t too completely Blur the distinction between Teddy and Theodore, to the point of no return,’ Margaret said, ‘I don’t see any real harm in it.’
‘I have heard of the occasional character,’ Foot Foot said, ‘who has gotten so caught up in affecting an alter ego that he eventually becomes his other personality, and has a pert near impossible time turning back.’
‘I hope that doesn’t happen to Teddy’, Margaret said.
‘If Theodore ever takes complete charge it will take for pert near ever for us to break him in.
I like how he might blur the distinction “to the point of no return”.

Thank you. There is always a major risk of that

Poor old Teddy, dual personality, I wonder what his pronouns were. That’s an interesting name foot foot.

I hope he doesn’t get involved with that ideological lie. I heard of the name Foot Foot from an obscure ’60’s song

Fake it until you become it.
It is quite something how others have such influence over how we act or want to act.

It reminds me of a quote from an Indian actor Shahrukh Khan, that he is only a servant of Brand Shahrukh Khan.

The good thing to know is that each of us may seem off beat to somebody else. 🙂

That’s true . One individual’s typical is another’s eccentric

That’s funny how the concern is that it will be difficult to break in Theodore. Sounds like they know Teddy well.
