McNulty’s Funeral

McNulty wanted to attend his own funeral so

he made all the arrangements with priest, and church,

and coffin and hearse, and pallbearers although he

had so very often noticed that Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer

were not really at their own funeral. it was only an imitation.

he wanted to try to go to his really.

all he could think of was what was it like after death?

were all his loose ends well tied up?

mourners clad in dark clothing approached

his coffin at the funeral home where

all the could think of was it was

lucky he was not allergic to the flowers
