The Fight To End Fights

‘Is this the Treatment I deserve?’ Harriet asked Chester, as she let slip a lugubru sigh, fed up with his annoying ways.

”I should have listened to my mother thirty years ago when she warned me I’d be marrying a mumper.’

‘Our problem,’ he explained, ‘isn’t that I deliberately bother you as that you’re so horribly hypersensitive.’

‘You always say that,’ she said, ‘because you’re too stubborn ever to give in.’

‘In case you were wondering,” said he, ”it is the single most important thing ever.’

‘Oy,’ she said, ‘It’s only a T.V. show.’

Welcome back to Denise’s weekly prompt. PROMPT WORD:  TREATMENT I mooched two words from James Joyce. Mumper (‘Finnegan’s Wake’) is a begging impostor. Lugubru (‘Ulysses’) is mournful, doleful, sorrowful.

Engaging Six, which is high compliment in and of itself. Also, thanks for saving me the trip to google on Lumper and Lugubru lol
(I totally love new words presented in the context of an interesting (and amusing) story-ette.
    Good Six

Yes, those additional words are fun vocabulary words to add to a story. If I am lucky I will remember them. HaHa
Was Harriet referring to a TV show they were watching?
