Quiet Sorrow

Whenever her heart truly ached she

Wrote down all her unbearable woes

Onto a sheet of paper and stuffed it

Into a jar she kept upon her shelf

Making sure at all times to leave it

Within arm’s reach so she could

Count on its always being available

In case of a violent thunderstorm

A humble broken heart she thought

Should always remember to keep her

Tears Hidden in the rain.
