Grandpa’s Fedora

I have my grandfather’s fedora

I never met him but

My grandmother left it to

Me when she died.

It’s now a different era

Men don’t wear hats anymore

Mankind has truly fallen apart

Since men stopped wearing hats.

Bartholomew Barker has this week’s mighty fine and dandy photo prompt a rarin’ to go today for us. He wants us now to write about heirlooms

I never got a hat or such articles from my maternal grandpa. What I got was a lowly Prince Albert tobacco can, but I cherished it for years. The smell of the can reminded me of him. I can only recall seeing him 3-4 times in my life. He died at age 55 before I really knew him.
