The Sparrow

dVerse

I see my nights are filled with sorrow

The rain and fog portend tomorrow

There’s no joy I can steal or borrow

As I espy a singular sparrow

~~Upon my windowsill~~

It makes its lonely nest on high

Its forlorn vigil makes me cry

I’m lost in thought my throat is dry

What sad eclips has scarred the sky?

Hello Larry if you have problem with the new editor, try using shift return between each line instead of just return.

Return is the same as a new paragraph, but shift return is simply a linebreak.

I like the thought of finding that lonely sparrow up there, I feel it acts almost like a mirror of yourself.
