The Lonely Couple

Ronovan Writes Decima Challenge Image

I stand still on a rainy day

Beside a local marble tomb

Of a once happy bride and groom

Some people leave flowers and pray

Mourn them both by night and by day

Back then they gave true love a Whirl

A hopeless young man and his girl

On yonder a wren and a sparrow

Gaze toward Cupid’s still arrow.

Now covered with mother of Pearl
