The Track

Jack and Gill went up a hill to fetch a pail of water.

They came upon a lovely garden in which there was a mysterious railroad track.

‘Should we follow it,’ he suspiciously asked.

‘I don’t know,’ she replied. ‘Everyone knows that a track that starts from out of nowhere can never lead to anything but trouble.’

‘All the townspeople keep warning us about what it’s like up here,’ he replied.

Just then a huge figure, in black, walked toward them.

They asked him where the track led to, and he simply stared at them quietly.
