I walked through our
Local graveyard
Wondering how many
Long forgotten souls
There must be there
Each forever lying in
His pill~shaped abode
Not even an echo anymore
Of what once was.
A long ago
Blizzard Of Thoughts
Anachronistic raiment,
Mannerisms, and speech
Now irrevocably frozen
And unavailable to us.
Not one will ever again
Answer a call to school,
Prayer, or work.
An army of broken
Hearts, memory lapses,
Frustrated Hitlers and Napoleons
And no one even notices
Any of them.
