A New Life

Having lately won

Me own deserted Island,

With all the amenities,

Including even me own

Lovely Lady assistant~

A Girl Friday to me Crusoe~

I proceeded at last to

Make the big move.

What does a man really need?

Is it truly Essential to be

Connected to the mainland?

Can someone really live

Completey in a world

Of his own making?

There’s such a mighty

Impenetrable barrier

Between me new life

And the world I’ve left behind.

The blueberry and charcoal sky

Is me only ceiling and the

Suede sand, me only floor.

Having signed the contract

And committed to the new world,

I so have to give it a chance.
