To Face the Day

Daily I have a jentacular moment

It doesn’t take much

To keep me happy

A few cups of coffee

Some milk, please, in each.

The wafting steam,

I should assume,

Wanders into the direction

Me day will eventually take.

Occasionally I may have

A light muffin or pastry,

While trying to keep track

Of the world’s latest news

From me isolated little corner

Where, for now, I am safe

From, as I prepare to handle,

The hard parts of life
