Everybody in me age range considers the Clash’s version of this song to be so hep but here’s the Equals’ (Eddie Grant’s early band) 1967 version of it. Eddie Grant wrote it.:

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
What have I done
What have I done
I’ve been running
Police on my back
I’ve been running
Down the rail way
And to help me
Police on my back
And to give me
All the Speed I like
