The Empty Room

An empty room

Where once I daily sat

And nightly lay.

There may be someone there now

So it may be only empty of me.

Can he hear yesterday’s songs?

Can she do yesterday’s homework?

Can someone play with yesterday’s toys?

If I dial my old phone number

Who will answer?

Maybe if I open that door,

It will become

My room again.

Would it be real again, though,

Or counterfeit.?

It’s been a while since me last attempt at
