The Happy Couple

Tonight’s the night of nuptial bliss.

Vespers intoned throughout the air.

Autumnal trees are stark and bare.

Lenore and I shall share a kiss.

She arises from her abyss.

Her lifeless frame as cold as stone.

Her echo in the wind has blown.

Our earthly hearts now filled with grief.

We’ve crossed the line into belief

That we shall never be alone.
