Sharing A Dream

“Last night I had a dream,” Chester told Mabel.

“Do tell,” she replied.

“My parents were both from northeastern Pennsylvania,” he continued.  “I dreamed I was driving through the really rural towns in Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties.  Then from out of nowhere I was in the rural towns in Denver and Jefferson Counties in Colorado.”

“That’s such a nice  dream to have,” she said.  I wish I could borrow it. It seems like the kind of thing that could help my insomnia.

“Yes,” he said. “The pastoral scenery is perfect for that.”

She started her morning with wishful thinking.

Welcome back to ROCHELLE’S weekly Friday Fictioneers, beginning each week on Wednesday.  This week photo prompt comes to us from DAWN M. MILLER .

I’ve been to both places in reality, not just dreams. The scenery is indeed breathtaking. I was born in Grand Junction, CO, and it still just fills me up when we cross the mountains from Denver into “the valley.”
