Them Younguns

Chester cried every time he passed the stairwell. It had been decades since Mabel was kidnapped  by them younguns. Nobody knew anything about her abductors, other than that they were kids.

Townsfolk had long before come to an agreement.  No one would ever discuss them younguns.  Each decade they made an appearance, abducted some women, and left.  Oddly, they were always the same people, and never aged.

Locals were even afraid to have kids.   The very idea of youth reminded them of them younguns.  As time went by, the town passed into oblivion, terrified into extinction by them younguns.

Welcome to ROCHELLE’S weekly Friday Fictioneers.  It always starts on Wednesday.   She’s even supplied this week’s photo prompt.
