Trick Or Treat Grandma

“Oh no,” Mabel told Cora. “Here comes Grandma, with her home made Halloween costume obsession.”

“Yeah,” Cora said. “Every year she gets like this, demanding that we let her make our costumes.”

“Besides that,” said Mabel, “She lives in the past.”

“We can hide the needles so she can’t find them,” said Cora.

“We’ll have to make sure she doesn’t end up accidentally sitting on them,” said Mabel.  “We have to save that for April Fool’s Day.  Timing is everything in life.”

They then proceeded to perpetrate their dastardly misdeed. “Eventually,” they agreed, “All will work out.”

Mabel and Cora should be thankful for the effort grandmother was willing to put for their dress. But there is a generation gap and we don’t appreciate what we get easy.
