Cinderella and Jane Eyre were having their usual fight over who was the better character.
“Charlotte Brontë was one heck of a mighty good writer,”Jane kept insisting.
“Those Grimms really knew their stuff,” Cinderella insisted.
This went on incessantly for months on end.
The neighbors were sick and tired of it all.
“That’s what happens,” they were heard to lament aloud, “When fictional characters are allowed to Escape from their books.”
