And In the End

O how I wish I could relive the day we first met

Well can it be done with a slow pirouette?

As I walk toward our past I now see it has faded.

Our memories now are resentful and jaded.

The Angelus bell now so solemny tolls

Now the state of the castle is that of our souls.

The time for a friendship is sadly long gone.

The dusk of our romance is followed by dawn.

The latest dVerspoets prompt got me to write a quatrain, so I’ve decided to write one for Sue’s latest THURSDAY PHOTO PROMPT too.

#writephoto
