Since for everything that exists, there exists also something that opposes it, one of mankind’s nastier truths is that ugliness, as the opposite of beauty, must most certainly be a force to be reckoned with. Since beauty, in the philosophy and theology classroom sense of the term, is an undeniably objective concept, there are also many things in the world that are plain objectively ugly. Among these may be counted sin, evil in general, anything that seriously detracts from mankind’s well being.
