Linda and George were talking about their former classmate, Gertrude, who was murdered forty years ago at Macy’s and how her anniversary’s coming up.
As always, around the time of Gertrude’s anniversary, her family and friends tended to feel quite anxious and frustrated, wishing they could easily get it over with.
On the milestone anniversary, they all decided to get together and to reminisce about her. They even went to the local mall to relax.
When they passed by Macy’s, Linda was stunned at one of the mannequins. “That’s Gertrude’s trademark hat, hairstyle, and slouch,” she thought. “How very odd!”
